Steampunk Sculpture Park

I’m always on the lookout for that special something to add intrigue and value to a landscape design, and I have been absolutely bowled over by these amazing steampunk sculptures by Dr. Evermor aka Tom Every. Created at a scrap metal yard in Wisconsin from the 1980’s, it houses one of the world’s largest ever scrap metal sculptures, the Forevertron, some 15m high and 35m wide designed as anti-magnetic time machine complete with observation gazebo for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert! However, the whimsies which particularly caught my eye were the Bird Band consisting of 70 sculptures of birds some of whom actually play music. All made from recycled materials, the whole project is an outstanding feat of engineering and an inspiration to reclaimed art and artists everywhere.
