Blurring the boundaries of landscape architecture, art and literature

Following on from my post on the book fountain in Budapest, I have another book related post to share with you.

This time, it’s an outdoor library in an ancient vineyard in Ghent, Belgium. Entitled ‘Bookyard’ Italian artist Massimo Bartolini has created twelve sweeping green shelves housing thousands of books donated by public libraries of Ghent and Antwerp which are all for sale and the proceeds of which will go to local charities. This installation is part of the the Belgian art festival, TRACK which runs until 16th September 2012.
